Good news for muscle car enthusiasts, the car that suppose to replace the Dodge Avenger will possibly use the Dodge Challenger platform and use rear wheel drive. I’m not sure if this is good news for people that like front wheel drive. It’s said Chrysler will decide in August.

Suzuki is upgrading its entire SX4 lineup, the Suzuki SX4 SportBack being one of them. Suzuki will be increasing the horsepower of the hatchback by 7hp, making the total come to 150hp. Another great thing is the manual trans goes from 5 gears to 6 gears. That last six gear will probably make the small car more efficient on the highway. Along with performance enhancement the car comes with a lower ride height and an aero kit that includes a chin spoiler. Car is definitely a looker!

Pagani has just added the Cinque roadster to its current lineup of sports cars. The roadster is suppose to be ultra light and sport the Merecedes-Benz AMG engine under the hood that makes around 700 horsepower. Pagani suggests the roadster is capable of going zero to 62mph at 3.4 seconds. The wheels on the super car are forged aluminum and magnesium for premium quality. I guess Pagani really wants to blow the competition away!

This is just so confusing to me. Steve Saleen leaves his company that is bearing his name Saleen in 2007. Now the new owners of Saleen Performance Vehicles plan to produce two hot new Mustang for 2010. Steve Saleen which owns his new company SMS says that Saleen Performance has no right to use the Saleen name. That is not right, if you buy a company, I think your have every right to use the company’s name on the products. That just makes no sense whatsoever. I just think Steve Saleen is being childish and he doesn’t want Saleen to produce any more vehicles that could compete with his current SMS line of performance cars.

If you think the Mustang’s suspension isn’t stiff enough, Ford gives you two options to upgrade. One option called the Track Pack package available this summer and the other for more serious racers, Ford Racing’s own FR3 Handling Package. Car and Driver just reviewed the Track Pack and said it was outstanding. Beat the other two muscle cars in its class by far.

Since there is such a big demand for the Super Snake package, Shelby Automobiles will be unveilling a new program to turn a number of 2010 Ford Shelby GT500s into Super Snake cars. The output ratings for these cars will be from 630 to 725 horsepower.

45 years ago Lee Iaccoca introduced the Ford Mustang to the automotive market, since then it has become legendary car. Now Lee Iaccoca is excited to release a special Mustang for 45th anniversary. Only 45 of these special made Mustangs will be made in silver hue. But, if you want the muscle car in any other stock color they will be available. Two different kind of engine packages will be available for the Mustang. A normal aspirated 4.6 liter Ford V8 with 320 horsepower and an optional supercharged version capable of pumping out 400 horsepower. Both packages will be covered under the normal Ford warranty which is good. Other modifications on the Mustang include a Ford Racing Handling Package, interior upgrades, and a body kit to improve the looks of the car.

If you have a brand new 2010 Camaro, be aware that K&N has just come out with an air filter to increase the performance on your Camaro. These air filters are made of 4 to 6 layers of cotton gauze sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens. Best material to reach the highest amount of air flow necessary for your engine.

Hurst Performance has just come out with a new package for the 2010 Dodge Challenger. Hurst has dubbed it the “Competition Plus” package, it includes modifications such as Hurst shift kit, pearl white shift knob, K&N high flow air filter, Magnaflow exhaust, Eibach suspension system, Hurst Performance decals, hood scoop, forged aluminum wheels, rear deck spoiler, exhaust tips, and more. The package is to be released later this summer, the packages goes for $18, 495. Definitely a hefty price.

A member on StangNet captured this spy photo of a Ford Mustang in camoflage. Most car enthusiasts are guessing this Mustang will be the 2011 Ford Mustang Boss. I really don’t think so, just because this Mustang in the spy photo has the old body style. Maybe Ford is just testing out the new 5.0L Coyote Mustang engine. Maybe one day we’ll find out!
