2010 Saleen 435S Mustang

Saleen will be unveiling the first version of the 2010 Ford Mustang at Myrtle Beach July 24th, 2009, they have dubbed it the Saleen 435S. The muscle car will have the Saleen Series VI supercharger and make about 435 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque. Other mods include a short-throw shifter, five-spoke alloy wheels, and a body kit. The 435S Saleen sits 1.5 inches lower than the stock Mustang GT and rides on racecraft suspension to improve handling out on the road and track. If you’re not familiar with Saleen, this will be the first Mustang to roll out under the company’s new owners. Steve Saleen, the previous owner of the company retired back in 2007, later to start up another company performance called SMS. The new owners of Saleen Performance remarked that a more powerful Mustang will be shown by the company at SEMA next spring.
I think the front and side of the 435S look great, don’t like the rear end very much. But, I’ll have to wait till’ I see it in person to give more of an insight on the muscle car. So far it looks pretty good though.
Pictures of Future Saab 9-5 Leaked

Pictures of the all new 9-5 Saab Sedan have been leaked. As you can see, Saab has re designed the whole car. I think they did a great job, it definitely looks more sportier and attractive than any of the previous Saabs. It’s said that the car will be all wheel drive and have a large selection of different engines to choose from. Saab is really trying to outdue the competition for the years to come, I give the devision props.
Chrysler doubles Cash for Clunkers

Chrysler is offering up to $4500 cash or 0 percent financing for 72 months on most of Chrysler’s 2009 vehicles. That’s doubling the cash for guzzlers incentive offered by our government. The program starts July 23 and runs all the way through August, so if you’re in the market for a car, now is the time to buy.
The SMS 460 Mustang
SMS has just released their new performance version of the Mustang, it will start at a hefty price of $64,990. Steve Saleen the owner of SMS, is planning two version of the 2010 Mustang. One model(SMS 460) sporting 470 horsepower and the other with 655 horsepower(SMS 460X). These two beasts will be availble this summer through many dealeships and SMS. Both get the SMS 296 custom supercharger and have the option of either getting a manual or automatic transmission. I suggest going with the six speed manual, it’s capable of going 0-60mph in around four seconds.

2010 Bumblebee Camaro

The optional Bumblebee package is now available for the 2010 Camaro, I know a lot of Camaro enthusiasts are really excited about this. The package will run you about $995. It’s exactly like the muscle car from the first Transformers, it would of been nice if it came with the big hood scoop like in Transformers 2. The Transformer shields also come on the side panels and in the center caps of the wheels, as well as an embroidered shield on the center console. The Transformers logo shows up on the sill plates and hood stripes. It is truely a uniqe package for the 2010 Camaro, I’m sure I’ll see one in my area real soon.
Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley is Retiring

Lotus CEO Mike Kimbereley is retiring due to back problems. Mike will turn 71 in August, the man is in second in charge at Lotus and has been SEO since 2006. Under his control, the Lotus sports car has done well in the past and has a future five year growth plan to overcome this tuff economy. Kimberley also worked at other auto companies such as Lamborghini, Tata and General Motors. So he’s had a very long career with cars, sadly it’s time to step down. He will be remembered at true sports car God.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing Doors

One of the coolest things on the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG is the gullwing doors, almost looks like this car is ready to take flight. The SLS is completely different than any existing Mercedes’ models. Each part of the car is completely unique or heavily modified to satisfy every urge of an automotive enthusiast. If you’re looking for power this cars got it, the M159 engine cranks out 571hp at 6,800rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. Giving this car a time of 3.8 second in a 0-62mph run, very impressive to say the least!
Audi A5 Sportback

Audi, one of my favorite companies as you’ve probably read from one of my articles, has just come out with a new car called the A5 Sportback. The model is sporting four doors and a hatchback. It looks great and all, but us Americans won’t see this luxury car in the states, the car will only be seen in Europe. The buyers in Europe get a choice of six engines: three gasoline and three diesel. All the engines are fitted with direct injection and pumping out 180 to 265 horsepower. I definitely would get the diesel engine, mainly because of the price of diesel being a lot less than gas nowadays.
Audi R8: One Amazing Sports Car

Audi is one of the greatest car companies on today’s automotive market by far. After Audi made the R8, the car company went up one notch in my book. The R8 is one bad ass looking sports car, sporting cool custom interior and hardcore looking exterior. There’s something about the exterior of this car, it looks so unique and bad ass words can’t even justify it. Plus, the sports car is said to go zero to 62mph in 4.6 seconds. Though the base price of the car is quite disturbing, I know I’ll never end up owning a car like this, but at least I can dream about it right. The Audi R8 will stay a favorite of mine for a very long time.
Fiat Chrysler Partnership

After the partnership with Fiat and Chrysler, we can expect some serious hardware on its way over here to the states. What I mean by hardware is some really cool cars, cars like the Fiat 500 and the Alfa Romeo MiTo. Expect these cars in the US by 2011.
