I guess Mopar thought the Challenger was a little bland, this must be why they are releasing this incredible appearance package for the Dodge Challenger. The package features a massive hood scoop, go-wing spoiler, and a strobe stripe performance graphic. Overall I think it makes the Challenger beefy as hell, something the Challenger was missing when it was first released. It reminds me of the old Challengers with the hood scoops. The package retails for $1,995, which is really not bad. If you were to do this the aftermarket way, a hood, spoiler and paint job might be more than $2k.

There’s always been a big feud between the GM guys, Mopar guys, and Ford guys. All of them think their car is better, but I think it shouldn’t be that way. All three muscle cars are unique in their own ways. I’m just glad other people think the same way I do. Ford instance Robert D. came up with model of a muscle car that hosts body parts from all three muscle cars: the new Challenger, Mustang, and Camaro. You would think the car would look all deformed and ugly, butter after checking it out it actually looks really cool. Maybe now something like this will bring muscle car fans a little closer.

Remember the old muscle cars back in the day, remember how powerful they were. Well check out this beast of a car, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro doing some drifting and donuts all around town. It’s amazing how powerful this muscle car is. Under the hood of the Camaro is a 454 engine.

Just announced at the 2010 Auto Show was the green Synergy Camaro. This new special edition Camaro will be available from February to May with a starting price of $26,790. It’s based off of the 1LT V6 platform, making 304 horsepower. You’ll be able to get the six-speed stick or the automatic, but the Synergy Green exterior color will be unique to this limited run and comes with Cyber Grey Rally Stripes, a rear spoiler, 19-inch painted wheels, Synergy Green instrument panel, door inserts and stitching. So if you’re going to buy one you better get your order in.

The 2010 Camaro will be battling the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger in the KONI sports challenge in October. The Momentum race group will be running the new Camaro. Two car teams will be formed with two race veterans Robb Holland and Jeff Altenburg. Testing with the Camaros will start in September.

GM has put a temporary hold on the shipment of current manual transmission models of the 2010 Camaro SS. It’s due to an “in production” review with GM, they are not requesting and vehicles be returned for service.

Well sorry to say the Camaro convertible option will not be available untill 2011. It’s mainly due to the horrible economy and GM facing bankruptcy, if things were better the option would of probably been released with the muscle car. Now it will not be officialy coming out till’ the first quarter of 2011.

If you’re a reader of Jalopnik’s autmotive blog, you probably saw the sweet pictures of the modern age muscle cars together. Jalopnik ended up doing a comparison of all three muscle cars. Overall I think the LS3 Camaro came up top, with the best performance and looks.

Seems as though the Camaro is a favorite amongst automotive enthusiasts when compared to the new Mustang. The last two months the Camaro has outdone Ford with the Mustang. Chevy sold about 2,200 less Camaros (9,320 vs. 7,113) in July than they did June and that’s with Cash for Clunkers running. If I had a choice I would definitely pick the Camaro over the Mustang.

Ford has built a special edition Ford Mustang to complement the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Gathering of Eagles. Ford is calling it the AV-X10 Dearborn Doll Ford Mustang. The AV-X10 features a custom paint job to match WWII aviation paint schemes on old fighter planes. Under the hood is a supercharged 4.6 liter V8 engine that is capable of producing 550 horsepower. Other mods on the car are a performance exhaust, short throw shifter, Handling Pack featuring dampers, lowering springs and anti-roll bar kit. If you’re interested in purchasing this special edition Mustang, the AV-X10 Mustang will be auctioned off for charity at the 2009 EAA Air Venture Oshkosh fly-in convention on July 27-August 2. Last year’s AV8R Mustang brought in an amazing $500,000. So I can’t imagine how expensive this custom Mustang will go for.
